Numerous studies have shown that during sleep our personality is reflected in each of our movements, especially in the usual way in which we rest. It is that body language is a reflection of ourselves, not only when we speak or when we move but we are peacefully asleep.
Thera are a wide variety of positions, as each individual is different, but experts have been identified 6 major groups:
1. FETAL POSITION: So called because it resembles the position of the baby inside the mother. It is the most common view (41% of the population), and those who sleep in this position try to pretend a strong personality, but in reality is their sensitivity that makes bow down at night in their shell. This form of sleep do they need a pillow thicker than average, to avoid neck pain.
2. THE TRUNK: They sleep on one side, dropping the arms close to their body. They represent 15% of the population. This position is taken by open and sociable people who are easily integrated into different groups, which stand out for their leadership. In return that trust and faith in others can make them naive. Scientists recommend this group to change position at rest in order to facilitate blood flow throughout the body.
3. NOSTALGIC: The position is very similar to “the trunk”, except that the arms are extended forward, at right angles to the body, so their personalities are also quite similar. They are sociable and open, but with a somewhat critical perception of reality, which sometimes makes them seem a little cynical. This position is taken by the 13% of the population. At night you should change position to avoid cardiovascular problems and a gnashing of teeth.
4. SOLDIER: It is an unusual position (8% of the population) in which they sleep on their back, with their back straight and arms at their sides. They are so shy and reserved people that do not like crowded places full of noise and fuss. His daily life is guided by the order and rules. This position can lead to respiratory problems, causing loud snoring.
5. FREE FALL: Neither is very common (7% of the population). They sleep on their stomach with arms extended around the pillow and the head side. People who sleep in this position tend to be very restless and dynamic, and that nervousness makes they find hard to sleep. The lopsided position of the head can cause neck problems.
6. STARFISH. It is the less common position of all (5% of the population) and of those who sleep on their backs, arms and legs stretched in any direction. People sleeping in this position are well noted for their generosity and altruism, though not like to be the protagonists.
